Michelle Hoenderboom

Hi! I am Michelle Hoenderboom, an illustrator and webdesigner.  I grew up in Zieuwent, a tiny village in The Netherlands in between fields with grass, corn and cows! A lot of my childhood a spent outside and that’s why I love to illustrate the nature.

When I grew up I asked my mom once what it is called when you make drawings in a book like ‘Fiep Westendorp’ in ‘Pluk van de Petteflet’. She told me that’s the work of an illustrator. So I said: ‘then I wanna become an illustrator as well!’ So I did and went to the art academy in ‘s Hertogenbosch.

After art academy where I really could get the best out of me I was asked to illustrate for several magazines, drew a children’s book for a charity that helps orphans and design and build websites. That made me also being interested in building websites as a profession. So now I work for a company and in the evening I make time to draw!

The material I like to work the most with are color pencils and gouache. I like to draw good vibes, or magical places.

Please contact me for more information or questions, I am always happy to help.
